CIAOTECH organized the fifth bio-workshop within Biotic Project in Castel dell’Ovo-Naples (24th October 2013). The meeting was attended by more than 32 registered people from industrial biotechnology field. I-PAN project was presented by brochure as example of sustainability and waste reduction.

Stela Laxhuber GmbH was represented from 26 – 29. November at the greatest Russian fair for the wood processing industry. Stela made the decision for participating in this fair due to the significantly increased volume of sales on the Russian market. I-PAN consortium continues to spread activities of the project. STELA Stela Laxhuber GmbH participated to the Wood and Bioenergy Exhibition and Conference at Jyväskylä (Finland, 4th-6th September 2013), promoting I-PAN objectives with  brochures and leaflet.

I-PAN activities are going on successfully! At the present, the consortium is working on: Resin innovation for solvent and formaldehyde reduction Definition of technologies for strand production, handling and metering Strand drying technologies Blending Technologies Mat Forming Technologies

Administrative management activities are devised to organize and manage the overall project, in order to ensure the strategic control of the work plan will be maintained, the resources will be well managed and the communication with the EC will be seamless, in order to secure a successful outcome the project.

The I-PAN project, co-financed by the 7th FP of the European Commission, has officially started on the 1st October 2012. The project aims at providing novel and highly environmental friendly solutions in the field of the engineered wood (EW) based boards.
